This illustration is moreover a sort of "art for art's sake" kind of piece, although the philosophy beneath it quite deep. It's about all night insects that are inexplicably drawn to any source of light. The problem is that more than a half of these insects fly to close to the light and so their wings catch fire because of the heat it emanates and they fall to the ground and die. It's a fascinating and infinitely repeating ritual of nature. I'm not a scientist, I'm just an artist, I have no idea why these little one-day creatures are doing this.
Also, I'm not a psychologist and I don't know why I'm drawn like an insect to the light of his passion, although I know deep inside that I'll get burnt and eventually, I'll fall to the ground and break all my bones, again and again and again...
